How to care for & maintain knives?

To maintain your knife, clean it and wipe it down after every use. For detailed cleaning around the pivot and handle, use a cotton swab or toothbrush. After cleaning, apply anti-rust oil for protection. Please note that disassembling the knife is not recommended, as it could void the manufacturer's warranty. What tools do I need to adjust the screws?

The bit sizes of tool used on most kniclad knives are T6 or T8. T6 fits most of the pocket clip screws. T8 fits most of the pivot screws as well as the screw on handle.

How can I order new spare parts for replacement?

You may order the spare parts by sending us an email, which should include "knife name + exact model number + exact parts". A picture attached will be much appreciated. For more information, please click Replacement Parts Service.

My new knife came with a defect. How can I get a replacement?

For a brand-new knife with an issue, you can email them at service@kniclad.com to request a return or replacement within 48 hours.

My micarta faded to a white color. What should I do?

My micarta faded to a white color. What should I do?
The micarta is made of thermosetting resins combined with layers of cloth pressed under high pressure and heat. When the cloth on the surface dries, it will become white. WE factory added some oil to the micarta to make it have a dark color, but after carried few days, it will become white again when the oil gets dry, especially the side that contacts your clothes more often will get dry more quickly, which is a normal phenomenon. Also, the Micarta is not UV stable and will change color over time. They will change color as they age, so please do not expect what you may have ordered in the past to match exactly what you receive today, as it will vary, and this is simply the nature of the material. While the surface becomes white, it's suggested to soak it with oil.

When I buy a new knife, do I need to register on your website?

Kniclad Knife warrants that knives will be free from defects in material and workmanship to the original owner for the life of the product. You are welcome to create an account on our website to earn points and save for your next order.
